Amazing Things I Found on the Internet This May

Here we are entering our last weeks of May, five months into a year that has been, well, a year. As we turn the corner to another month, let us remember to pause occasionally. To take deep breaths. To find the good, the lessons amidst all of the bad and the uncertainty. To continue donating, showing up and supporting those who need it.

Today I am sharing some worthwhile things I stumbled upon on the Internet over the course of the past few weeks, from an Artificial Intelligence that helps you write, a website where you write a letter to your future self to a book that explores healing by building a home within yourself

I hope you find them insightful.

  1. I stumbled upon this website named FutureMe and it stopped me in my tracks. On the site you write a letter to your future self: you set goals and make predictions about the world. It could be five years from now or six months. You have to try it.

  2. A small business named Matawi that sells beautiful potted plants, perfectly packaged and ready to display. Their products are an ideal purchase for anyone looking to join plant parenthood. Not only do indoor plants enhance the overall appearance of a space but they also boost ones mood and improve mental health. Visit Matawi and find your perfect plant.

  3. A deeply relatable and triggering book by Najwa Zebian, a Lebanese-Canadian activist, author, poet, educator, and speaker based in London entitled, “Welcome Home”. In it, the author explores healing by building a home within yourself. She shares her revolutionary concept of home - the place of safety where you can embrace your vulnerability and discover your self-worth.

  4. My husband has never seen me laugh harder than when I watched a black lady sketch show. Maybe you can relate.

  5. Use cutting edge technology to make writing easier and faster on Shortly. Stuck? Just click the button and an Artificial Intelligence will continue writing for you. You heard me right! An Artificial Intelligence!

  6. Do me a favor and read this beautifully penned poem "An Invitation to Stay Open: soft woman" by Marie-Ève Bonneau. It explores femininity.

  7. My favorite tiktok account to follow these days, kitarose. It’s not too hard to see why.

  8. Events styling by Tasha. Oh! Their beautiful design and style will have you exclaiming precisely. Your event will undoubtedly incite the right kind of envy thanks to them.

  9. 2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." I needed to hear that, maybe you did too.
