Finding my dream wedding gown was stressful. I tried on nearly 30 dresses at five different bridal shops but still did not find the one. After much searching and trying, I eventually decided to approach a designer to make my dream wedding gown. I knew I wanted to go with a local gown designer and did my research.
I finally settled on the wedding designer Ogake Mosomi from Ogake Bridal. Ogake Bridal is a distinct Kenyan atelier that was established in 2013. I had been following her on Instagram prior to my wedding and I really liked her her clean, timeless and elegant designs.
Before our first appointment, I ripped pages out of magazines, clicked through bridal boutiques online, explored on Pinterest, and even checked out what celebrity brides were wearing to get ideas of what I wanted. When we first met we discussed fabrics and other details like the cap, mermaid train and the clean silhouette that I wanted my wedding gown to have. I had wanted a look which was timeless, flattering yet also modern.
For the second appointment I received the sketches for 'the one'.
It was exactly what I wanted and everything about it was just perfect for me.
It was the result of countless hours of browsing and working closely with Ogake through the next couple of fittings! The designing team was a great help through it all, and provided genuine and personal advice during my bridal fittings.
And finally.....
